A dedicated farmer with a deep love for the Karoo and its way of life, Danie has spent years working the land and sharing his knowledge of the area with visitors. Annalise, with her warm hospitality and entrepreneurial spirit, established the guesthouse to help contribute to the farm while creating a welcoming retreat where guests can experience true Karoo hospitality.
Together they have built more than just a guestfarm – they have created a place where visitors arrive as guests and leave as friends. Their genuine kindness, friendly nature, and passion for sharing the beauty of the Karoo make every stay memorable.
Stephan & Elaine Mentz
As Gamamadi continues to grow, the next generation has proudly joined the family team. Danie and Annalise’s daughter, Elaine, and her husband, Stephan, bring fresh energy, passion, and vision to the farm while embracing the values and traditions that make Gamamadi special. Stephan, a dedicated farmer with a sense of humor and a love for the Karoo, works alongside his father-in-law to help manage the farming operation. Elaine, who began her career as a Professional Hunter, has a deep appreciation for wildlife and the outdoors and now manages the Wedding Venue with creativity and care,
The wedding venue holds a special place in their hearts, as it was inspired by their own wedding celebration on the farm. Together they want to share this magical location with other couples and, during the winter hunting season, guide hunters through the beautiful landscape they call home.
